Why Tarifa?
On August 2, 2027, Tarifa will be the privileged observation point for a total solar eclipse. An astronomical phenomenon in which the moon will completely cover the sun and which will not happen again on the Iberian Peninsula until 2166. Don't miss it!.
Tarifa has a privileged location; it is one of the best spots in Spain to observe the eclipse with clear skies. You will be able to see this eclipse framed by the Strait of Gibraltar with the Moroccan coast of the African Continent in the background. The stars have aligned so that over this spectacular landscape, the center of the path of maximum darkness will pass, with almost 4:41 minutes of the sun completely covered by the moon. The eclipse will be visible in the morning, with pleasant temperatures and perfect light.
